The Pro Series
The Pro Series was born from a personal journey that started over a year ago. These instruments were inspired by a series I created for myself—instruments designed specifically for playing at a high level and performing as a professional. I wanted full, in-your-face scales on modern material, crafted in the industry-standard size. The result? A series that is unapologetically rich, bold, and modern, supporting what I believe are some of the best scales of all time.
Colin, your latest creation, the pro series, in my humble opinion, is one of the most miraculous, transcendent, perfect objects ever created by humankind. A revelation! - Ned Kahn, 2025

Riviera: F/ A Bb C D E F G A C - $2,600
Riviera12: F/ [G] A Bb C D E F G A C F $2,900
Major scales lend themselves to a more uplifting sound than minor scales. Sweet but not too sweet, like a white peach on a summer’s day.
Savory/Minor
D Kurd: D/ A Bb C D E F G A C - $2,600
D Kurd: D/ [F] [G] A Bb C D E F G A C - $3,100
D Celtic: D/ A C D E F G A C D - $2,600
D Celtic11: D/ [F] A C D E F G A C D - $2,850
Minor scales are what people think of when they hear handpan music. Moody and melancholy, minor scales are a perfect fit to bring out the best in these instruments.
Spicy/Harmonic Minor:
Tarznauyn D/ A Bb C D Eb F# G A C - $2,600
Orion - D/ A C Db E F# G A C D - $2,600
Harmonic Minor scales are bold and defined. Distinct in flavor they are powerful and unwavering.

What Happens After I Pre-Order?
When you place a pre-order you will get an estimated wait time. The clock on that wait time starts when your order is placed. As production progresses, you will receive broad updates like what I am working on this week, what percent of the batch is complete, where in the Pacific Ocean the boat is that is carrying my handpan bags, etc. When it is time for me to start your Xenith you will receive a personal message with an estimate of when your Xenith will be ready to ship. Then you will get notified of shipment and receive the relevant tracking information.
If you are curious what those updates look like you can check out the 2021 Summer Production Run.
My journey with Xenith Handpans began when I learned about Colin's upcoming Pro Series handpan – a stunning 53cm instrument with an Ember Steel finish and expanded scales. Intrigued, I immediately placed an order. From that point forward, the communication was exceptional; I received regular updates on the handpan's progress, culminating in a delightful trip to Colin's shop to collect it in person.
The moment I held the handpan, I knew it was something truly special. The sound was breathtaking – incredibly bright, remarkably stable, and effortlessly resonant. The harmonics were perfectly clear and accessible, with an absence of any unwanted crosstalk. The tuning was flawless. Considering my collection includes handpans from renowned makers like MAG and Ayasa – eight in total – this Xenith handpan surpasses them all in terms of its overall tonal quality and playing experience. I was so captivated by its performance that I've already begun discussing a second instrument! Wink Wink
My interactions with Colin throughout this entire process have been consistently positive and his dedication to customer service was evident. He consistently went above and beyond, creating a welcoming and informative experience. It's clear he takes immense pride in his craft.
Having a maker of Colin's caliber just a short distance away is a privilege, and I'm immensely grateful for the opportunity to own a Xenith handpan. The exceptional quality, combined with Colin's outstanding customer service, makes Xenith Handpans, in my opinion, the pinnacle of handpan craftsmanship available today. I wholeheartedly recommend his instruments to anyone seeking a truly exceptional playing experience.
