HCU and a Production Update

First things first, those darn clocks are out of my shop! While charming in my home, they were an absolute nuisance to have in the same room. Last week I just happened to have a zoom interview at 11:30 that lasted until noon. Absolute madness ensued.

Second, I am about 70% done with the Spring production batch with about 60% shipped. Read this as Colin is ahead of schedule!

In other news, have you heard about the recent, and very serious legal battles happening in the EU regarding handpans? It started in the summer of 2020 and will likely continue on for years to come. In response to these threats, Handpan Community United (HCU) was established and has been working hard to counter the legal claims. If the claims were to stand, it would illegal to manufacture handpans in the EU.

Last month, PANArt, the company making the claims, legally seized Ayasa Handpans’ instruments with the intent to destroy them.

As a founder and current board member of HCU, I wanted to bring this to your attention. The last 8 weeks have been very intense. We are continuously raising funds in order to stay in the legal battle.

“Dada, you’re being too loud!”

Here’s a crappy capture of a very lovely moment. Two friends playing Xeniths in my shop. A real joy to walk in on this.
