Xenith Name Origin

On the evening of June 27th, 2020, my wife and I had a brainstorming session. The then-unnamed project was still in its infancy and stuck in the digital realm. We were throwing words and prefixes around, spitballing concepts around this potential new process to make handpans. We both agreed that it needed its own name as it would be a radical shift from any previous process that I, or anyone, had ever used. Below you can see my wife’s stream of consciousness doodling slowly focus in on the prefix Xeno and her thought process on why to use the letter X.

Æther → Radix→ Xenith

Xeno: Different in origin

Zenith: The point in the sky or celestial sphere directly above an observer

Xeno + Zenith = Xenith
